FFor children ages 2 to 11, Carnival Horizon offers Camp Ocean, located on Deck 11, midship. The colorful, creative space features an ocean motif, and programming focuses on things like active play, arts and crafts, music, and science and discovery -- many of which are inspired by the ocean. Furniture in Camp Ocean is properly kid-sized, and the room features beanbags, tumble mats and brightly colored blankets. The space also includes televisions for movies and video games, plenty of toys, slides and games.

This stateroom features a unique nautical décor inspired by the craft of seafaring itself. The whole family will also enjoy exclusive access to the nearby Family Harbor Lounge, plus more great perks around the ship. Feel like you are retreating to your own tropical islands at the Caribbean-inspired suites, that are beautifully appointed and even have their own rain shower in the inside bathroom.
If you're not a fan of spinning, you can try out classes like boot camp or Pilates. These classes all have fees, starting at $12 and going up from there. (We found the per-class price is actually cheaper than what we'd pay at a gym on land.) While signup isn't required, many classes sell out fast -- some on the first day you board.
Delight you palate at a diverse range of dining venues, including two main dining rooms and a buffet that features mouthwatering dishes from around the world. Seafood-lovers will head to a venue just for them with a New England-inspired menu, offering both indoor and alfresco seating, and you can enjoy 360-degree views while enjoy such traditional fare such as lobster and crab cakes. Savor Asian specialties, Italian and Mexican cuisine, as well as a steakhouse. Carnival Horizon, like all Vista-class sisterships, has a new cabin category named aft-view extended balcony cabin which is exclusive to the Family Harbor area.
YOUR STATEROOM
The downside is that this places many rooms and suites on Carnival Horizon in the ‘cabins to avoid’ category, as some get noise from below as well as from above. On the other end of the spectrum, some of the most sought-after cabins on Carnival Horizon are the Havana Cabanas, which have Cuban-style décor and lovely outdoor spaces overlooking a private lanai for Havana-category passengers. There's room for you and your things — with a large room and balcony — and a walk-in closet. Carnival's partnership with Dr. Seuss adds something special to the ship, beyond simply the cool and colorful WaterWorks. Under the Seuss at Sea programming, there's also a fantastical Dr. Seuss Bookville onboard Carnival Horizon, located on Deck 11, midship. Bookville is packed with multiple copies of every title from Dr. Seuss, and it's decorated with bright colors and large murals of the author's most-famous characters.
Fill out the form you'll find in your cabin and leave items in the bag provided. Available exclusively to Havana cabin passengers, the Havana Pool feels a bit like an oasis. It's got greenery and faux palm trees, a good amount of shade, two hot tubs, loungers, sunbeds and colorful wicker chairs. Havana cabin passengers must be at least 12, so the pool area also is more adult-oriented.
Family Harbor Ocean View
Each of their ships features a wide variety of great things to do for every group, couple, and family. Carnival Cruise Line is fun and affordable cruising for all ages. Plus, when it comes to value, a Carnival cruise is hard to beat, and 2023 & 2024 Carnival Cruises are set to be no exception to this. Carnival Horizon is a bold, beautiful ship jam-packed with activities, dining options, and bars and lounges galore. The cruise ship is sophisticated and modern, though with Carnival's take on those concepts, which includes bold colors, bright spaces and a heavy dose of fun.
These rooms are not only an affordable way to keep the family close, but feature a unique nautical decor inspired by the craft of seafaring itself. And while you sail along, the whole family will enjoy exclusive access to the nearby Family Harbor Lounge, plus more great perks around the ship. With a maximum capacity of almost 4,000 passengers and over 1,000 feet in length, Carnival Horizon is a big ship, but its deck plans are well designed. We also love the outdoor bar at the Havana Club, which features a pool, two hot tubs, colorful deck chairs and Latin music. If your group likes to sail a little closer to the waves — or just in a calm location at the aft of the ship — choose a Family Harbor Cove Balcony stateroom. You’ll find your outpost a wave-watcher’s paradise… and while we can’t promise, you just might catch a living, swimming marine biology lesson from your railing!
From the moment your teen (age 15-17) steps into Club O2 they'll hang with friends, watch movies, listen to the latest music, play video games, join Karaoke jam sessions and more. Register with Cruise.com to get access to exclusive rates, discounts and special offers. The vessel was launched (floated out from drydock) on March 10, 2017, at Fincantieri's Marghera shipyard. The launching featured the traditional “coin ceremony”, consisting in welding a silver coin on the ship's top deck. Godmother of the launching ceremony was Clementina Zecchin (Fincantieri employee).
Designed for kicking back al fresco, you’re in for some amazing ocean views… views so stunning you’ll just have to feel ‘em to believe ‘em. The best spot to get a dose of sun (or an appropriate amount of shade) is the Serenity Deck a beautifully relaxing spot for adults only (the minimum age to relax here is 21). Located on the very top deck -- Deck the space is gorgeously appointed, with sun beds, lounge chairs, hammocks and clamshells. You'll find faux palm trees and bright yellow umbrellas, along with some of the best views from the ship. It's away from the action of the Beach Pool area, so it really is quiet and far less busy. Covering two levels, it's a bit of a departure from traditional cruise ship theaters, in part because it's designed specifically to host the ship's Playlist Productions, which include LED special effects.
The shows are a fun mix of music and technology (including aroma-infused sets), but sight lines are troublesome, especially in back, where you're battling large, silver pillars. If you want to see everything -- unobstructed -- arrive early. If you get there later and find an empty seat, chances are, it's got poor sightlines. Many passengers on our sailing elected to stand near the bar and behind the seats rather than risk obstructed views. After an exciting day, you will feel right at home in your comfortable accommodations. The ship offers a wide variety, including spa staterooms, with exclusive privileges at the spa, extra-roomy staterooms in special family-designed staterooms and suites and more.
